SPUMANTE BRUT CLASSICAL METHOD

Characteristics
The "classic method” is the historical expression of Sasso Rosso, as it was one of the first wine producers in Umbria to make Italian sparkling wine using the "Classic Method” (refermentation in the bottle) in 1981.
The Millesimato Classic Method is the result of an ancient and wise enologic procedure.
Fermented in the bottle and aged in caves at a constant temperature for at least 3 years.
Awarded the Gold Medal at the "BAVI" in Torgiano.

Vines
Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Pinot Noir.

Vinification
White vinification, grapes at an optimum ripening point are used to create the "cuveè”, excellent expression of the Classic Method.

Degustation Notes

Colour
Hay-yellow with subtle hints of gold.
A cascade of the finest pearls, persistent, vivacious and elegant.

Perfume
Elegant with remembrances of bread crust, ripe exotic fruit, Mediterranean spices and vanilla.

Flavour
Full, rich, dry and succulent.

Alcohol content
12% vol.

Combination
Pleasurable as an appetitive, elegant with appetisers, ideal with all kinds of fish.

Vinification
This sparkling wine is made through the "Charmat Method” (fermentation in autoclave).

Vines
Verdicchio and Moscato from the lands of Umbria and Le Marche.

Colour
Hay-yellow with subtle hints of gold.

Perfume
Elegant and delicately sweet.

Flavour
The presence of the Verdicchio and the Moscato, notoriously sweet, give way to a winning combination in terms of taste and the right balance of flavours.

Alcohol content
(vol.) 12% approximately, depending on the year

Combination
This sparkling wine can be enjoyed during the day, through a relaxing break, with pastry. At its finest with desserts and dried fruit at the end of a meal.

SASSO ROSSO SMILE - Passito

Characteristics
Wine obtained from Verdicchio grapes left to dry on the vines until late October. Afterwards, the grapes are hung in a naturally airy place for further dehydration, then vinified in February.

Vines
Pure Verdicchio.

Vinification
White vinification. Subsequently aged for at least 3 years in small oak barrels.

Colour
Intense amber.

Perfume
Typical of Passito from white grapes.

Flavour
Sweet and delicate, particularly tasty due to the slightly bitter aftertaste of Verdicchio that makes it so endearing.

Combination
This marvellous Passito can be paired with different kinds of pastry and desserts.

Recommended serving temperature: 10°-12°.

Characteristics
Distilled from the grape marc of Sasso Rosso Brut sparkling wine, in accordance with the ancient tradition. This reserve is aged in oak barriques.

Vines
Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Colour
Lightly amber due to aging in barriques.

Perfume
Unique of great Grappe, with clear remembrances of the woods where it is aged.

Flavour
Sweet and delicate, particularly tasty due to the slightly bitter aftertaste of Verdicchio that makes it so endearing.

Recommended serving temperature: Room Temperature.
